Physostegia virginiana

Also know as 'Obedient Plant'. A very popular trial plant on our farm last season - the most picked perennial as a supporting flower for our Dahlias at all of our picking experiences! It makes a fantastic cut flower, blooming from bottom to top and when it drops the lower petals it leaves gorgeous architectural bracts while the top blooms, so pretty. Flowers continually throughout Summer and Autumn. This plant is known to be very vigorous so make sure you cut it back / divide as required to manage growth.
