Join Elissa from Black Duck Studio and Jen from Southern Highlands Flower Farm as they take you on a sensory journey of both clay and floral magic through the beauty of Dahlia season on the flower farm.

Friday 14th February: 10am-2pm

Absorb yourself a highly tactile and sensory experience creating your own beautiful vase with Elissa, tour the flower farm with Jen - exploring one of Australia's largest Dahlia collections and harvesting your own bucket of stunning Dahlias, and enjoy a beautiful locally catered lunch in the new gazebo overlooking the flower farm.

We are so excited Black Duck Studio are partnering with our flower farm to bring you this unique experience. Catering to all skill levels, Black Duck Studio gives you the opportunity to express yourself creatively with clay and learn about the art of ceramics. Their experienced and passionate instructors believe that everyone has the potential to be a creative potter, and are committed to providing a supportive and encouraging experience.

CLAY-MAKING

Elissa of Black Duck Studio will teach you hand-building techniques to bring your own ceramic vase creation to life.

All materials to hand-build your masterpiece are provided, including white earthenware, hand tools and aprons.

Following the workshop, Elissa will take your vases back to Black Duck Studio where they will receive two kiln firings and a clear gloss glaze that will make your vases watertight. Your vase will be white and glossy after glazing and firing is complete.

Vases will be delivered back to Southern Highlands Flower Farm once ready. You will be notified when they arrive and can choose to either pickup your vase or we can package and ship it via Australia Post.
