FRIDAY 14TH MAR - PAINTING Workshop: Still Life
FRIDAY 14TH MAR - PAINTING Workshop: Still Life
STILL LIFE PAINTING
Join us for a vibrant and creative exploration of colour, light, and composition in this flower-inspired still life painting workshop.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll explore mixing colours to create a harmonious palette, and understanding how light affects the mood and depth of your painting. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter, this hands-on session will guide you through the process of observing, interpreting, and painting flowers in a way that celebrates both their natural beauty and the expressive power of colour.
By the end of the workshop, you will have a completed still life painting, along with new skills and insights that will help you continue to develop your artistic practice. All levels are welcome - bring your curiosity, creativity, and love of flowers!
MEET THE ARTIST
Kate Friesenecker is a contemporary painter whose work explores the intricate relationships between colour, light, and the natural world. Working primarily in oil paints, Kate is drawn to paint in landscapes, botanicals and interiors, bringing each subject to life with a vibrant, emotive palette.
Inspired by the ever-changing nuances of light and its impact on colour, Kate's paintings seek to capture the fleeting moments when light transforms a scene. Through careful attention to colour harmony and the subtle shifts in tone, the artist creates immersive environments that invite viewers to experience the world through a lens of heightened sensitivity and beauty.
Kate’s art celebrates the quiet moments of daily life, using colour to evoke mood and atmosphere.
