Italian Anemone 'Levante Rosa' - 25 SEEDS (COMING SOON)

Anemones provide very welcome beauty in the garden as Winter finishes and nature wakes up. This cool season crop will flower in early Spring, with similar timing to Ranunculus, Poppies, Tulips & Peonies. Italian Anemones are a specialty variety with large blooms in stunning colours and excellent stems for cutting - I can never go back to regular garden variety Anemones after growing these very special flowers.

This new collection from Biancheri in Italy includes specialty commercial varieties, specifically bred for cut-flower production and not usually available to the public. These seeds are sourced from Ball Australia, who also provide all of my flower production plugs (mini-seedlings grown from these same seeds).

These seeds will flower and develop corms in their first year, strengthening each growing season. Corms can be lifted and stored when plants have died down to ensure viability for next season - they do not like to be wet when dormant, so it is best to lift yours corms if you will be watering your planting area once the corms are dormant.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

SOW: Late Summer / Early Autumn (no heat mat required)

DEPTH: 2mm (can be direct sown but expect only a 50% success rate)

SPACING: 15cm (for cut-flower production)

HEIGHT: 30-60cm (taller when grown undercover)

MATURITY: 26-30 weeks
