Large double and semi-double ruffled flowers in stunning black. The Flamenco series make exceptional cut flowers. Black Pansies are the first colour I ever grew - as both a gardener and a flower farmer - they are so dramatic and beautiful and enhance any plant growing nearby.
Pansies and Violas can very successfully be grown as perennials. Cuttings can be taken from plants to expand your collection of specific cultivars, and plants will self-seed resulting in new strains of beautiful Pansies and Violas in your garden.
This collection of Italian Pansies are bred by and sourced directly from Farao Societola Agricola in Sarno, Italy.

Growing Instructions
Viola x wittrockiana / Viola cornuta
SOW: Late Summer - Early Spring
DEPTH: 5mm
SPACING: 5-10cm for cut flower production
HEIGHT: 15-40+cm
Pansy seeds need cool temps to germinate. Once germinated they can grow in warmer temps, just make sure you find the coolest spot possible to start them off.
Stems lengthen over time - for taller stems use close planting, pinch out initial shorter blooms and use climbing support where possible (you can simply plant under roses or use trellis/fencing, close planting works as a support itself also).
