Ranunculus provide a very welcome rainbow in the garden as Winter finishes and nature wakes up. This cool season crop will flower in early Spring, with similar timing to Poppies & Anemones. Italian Ranunculus are a specialty variety with double blooms and excellent stems for cutting - I can never go back to regular garden variety Ranunculus after growing these very special flowers.

This new collection from Biancheri Creazioni in Italy includes varieties specifically bred for commercial cut-flower production and not usually available to the public. 

These 'plugs' are mini seedlings that I source in bulk from Ball Australia for my flower production purposes - these are grown using the same seeds offered in my seed collection. They save me the time in sowing the large quantity of seeds I need and grow vigorously as soon as planted.

The plants you receive are young seedlings with strong healthy root systems. We package them in recyclable/compostable pots with potting mix for both protection and to allow continued growth during transport. These biodegradable pots can be planted straight into the ground with your plant, reducing transplant shock.

These seedlings will flower and develop corms in their first year, strengthening each growing season. Corms can be lifted and stored when plants have died down to ensure viability for next season - they do not like to be wet when dormant, so it is best to lift yours corms if you will be watering your planting area once the corms are dormant.
